Household Hazardous Waste
There are many items that are considered hazardous to the environment and cannot be placed in your trash or recycling bins. Grease, paint, pesticides, solvents, motor oil and filters, batteries, medicines, sharps, and fluorescent tubes all must be properly disposed of at a Household Hazardous Waste Center (HHW). RESIDENTS (NO business materials accepted) may drop off qualifying items at ANY Household Hazardous Waste Center in San Bernardino County city at no cost.
For disposal of household hazardous waste (HHW), you can go to the following HHW collection centers (no tires accepted):

Before Transporting Hazardous Waste to your Collection Center — follow these safety guidelines:
- The waste is in its original container and properly labeled.
- The contents of the container match what is stated on the label.
- If the contents do not match the label, cover the label and clearly write the correct contents.
- The container is sound, sealed, and not leaking.
- The amount of waste transported does not exceed 15 gallons or 125 pounds.
- Wastes are placed securely in the vehicle for safe transport.
