Dump Passes
Important notes about your dump pass:
- Residents may get 4 dump passes per month. To obtain your dump pass, please come into the Helendale CSD office Monday–Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, excluding holidays.
- Please present the Disposal Permit to County Desert Landfills and Transfer Stations along with proof of occupancy. The permit allows a one-time disposal of up to 500 pounds of ordinary household waste without disposal fees.
- The Dump Pass may be used by the property owner or occupant. If the property is rented, tenants may use the pass. However, it may not be reassigned to non-permitted private waste haulers, landscapers, contractors, etc.
- The Dump Pass may not be used for commercial purposes, including construction, demolition, remodeling debris, dirt, land clearing debris, manure, or tires.
- Materials or loads not covered by the dump pass will be subject to fees.
- No household hazardous waste (HHW) or universal waste is accepted. Call the County Fire Department HHW Section at 1-800-645-9928 for the nearest location.
- Recycling is available for plastics #1 & #2, cardboard, paper, glass, and metals at most desert disposal sites.
- The county enforces an Illegal Dumping Ordinance—violations may result in jail time, fines, and vehicle confiscation.
