LIHWAP stands for the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program. It is a federally funded program that offers a one-time payment, up to a maximum of $2,000, to help you pay your current or past-due water and/or wastewater bills that accrued during any timeframe.

Required Documents to Receive LIHWAP:

• Current water bill
• Household income for the past 4 weeks including noncash benefits, state, and federal help (SNAP, EBT, IHSS, SSI, SSDI)
• Copy of photo I.D.

*All documents are required and must be up to date.
